If the Sonic series was anything like DragonBall Z (which it probably is when you think about it...) Sonic would be Goku and Shadow would definately be Vegeta!!

Such a simple yet wonderful picture. I love Sonic's "In your face" expression, the poses are very awesome! This pic deserves some attention, it's great...

I wouldnt say Sonic is anything like Goku, But Shadow is definatly a lot like the saiyan prince. Awesome work. You seem to be a talented cartoonist...

Oh, you're too kind...yeah, you're right, though. Sonic ain't really like Goku...more like Yamcha, no, Trunks! But Sonic and Shadow are both really cool characters. Of course, Shadow's got way more experience than Sonic, I mean, AGE-wise. How old is Shadow again?...like about 2 centuries? Jeez! All and all, I felt it, and it just came to it, so I went with it. I may modify this pic though, so look out for it. But what do you think? Should I?

I'm tired of you people comparing Sonic to DB:Z!!! :angered: Shadow was added for Sonic's 10th birthday, so that he'd have an "Evil Twin" like most other VG characters.

Nice picture, though. :thumbsup:

...You've never heard that the creator of Sonic was inspired by DBZ then, i take it.

Weather thats rumour or truth, i do not know... But there are a lot of similarities.

I haven't heard that one, but I don't think that's true.

Look at the first game. A mad scientist traps animals into robots. He needs 6 chaos emeralds to use the power to take over the world. A super fast hedgehog stops him by destroying his machines and getting all of the emeralds.

It didn't involve turning into a glowing yellow haired guy and beating up people.

So, I think Sonic wasn't supposed to be like Dragon Ball Z. Besides, he was going to be a rabbit who grabbed stuff with his ears.

sonic the hedgehog - dragonball z
7 chaos emeralds - 7 dragonballs
super form with yellow, upturned quills - super forms with yellow upturned hair
super sonic used to have turquise eyes - super saiyans have turquise eyes

Just some of the similarities...

I know, I'm not doubting that there are similarities, but the first game didn't have Super Sonic, and there were only 6 chaos emeralds, so Sonic wasn't inspired by DBZ, I guess they just decided change a few things. Some people call them coincidences, Others say Rip-offs, some even think that it's a tribute.

Hyper Sonic was different. Unless, there's a Saiyan form where thier hair flashes different colors.
